White Ribbon Campaign
In 1997 this campaign was very successful and 110 000 pamphlets and ribbons were distributed by Nisaa and 50 other organizations. Nisaa therefore extended the campaign nationally over a three year period.

In 1998 Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Kwa Zulu Natal participated in the campaign. In total 298 600 pamphlets and ribbons were distributed.

It was however during 1999 that the campaign experienced its greatest success. Mpumalanga, Nothern Cape and the North West Province as well as various other provinces were targeted. A total of 1 414 020 pamphlets were distributed countrywide.

2001 was the Final year of the National White Ribbon Campaign.

Justice for Anne Campaign
The life of Anne Riberts was in danger! Anne is the victim of over 20 years of domestic violence and abuse at the hands of her ex-husband. It is a tragedy that the democratic constitution with legislation such as the new Domestic Violence Act have failed to ensure the safety of women like Anne. NISAA ran a petition as an appeal to secure human rights and justice, so obviously absent, for Anne.

Postcard Campaign to Minister of Justice
In 1998 ten thousand postcards were distributed by over 50 organisations to be signed and posted to the Minister. All the issues which we raised (except stalking) were taken into consideration in the Prevention of Family Violence Act.
